Remote games of chance

The Netherlands is one of the last countries in the European Union to legalize and regulate the market for online gambling. For this purpose, the Remote Gambling Act was introduced. According to the plans of the Dutch government, this new law will enter into force in the spring of 2021.

Parties that wish to enter this regulated Dutch market for offering remote games of chance will have to apply for a license from the Netherlands Gambling Authority. Kalff Katz & Franssen is the law firm that can assist in this process. You can find more information on our page Dutch licence for online gambling.
