On Friday 3 February 2023, The Gaming & Gambling Practice Group of Kalff Katz & Franssen attorneys at law and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) hosted the 18th edition of the Annual Gaming Industry Event at the Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club in Amsterdam.
Justin Franssen (Partner at KKF) and Quirino Mancini (President of IMGL) opened the event, after which René Jansen (Chairman of the Board of the Netherlands Gambling Authority) and Fedor Meerts (Department Head Integrity & Gambling, Ministry of Justice and Security) took to the stage to discuss the first one and a half year of the licensed market for remote games of chance in the Netherlands. This was followed by an interesting panel discussion led by Joerg Hofmann (Melchers Law Firm) between Petra de Ruiter (CEO Holland Casino), Eric Olders (CEO JVH Gaming & Entertainment Group), Niels Onkenhout (CEO Nederlandse Loterij) and Anne-Jaap Snijders (CCO Kindred Group).
