Alan Littler and Joris Crone contributed a section about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Dutch gambling market, which features as part of a broader look at the pandemic’s impact on gambling in different North American and European jurisdictions.
The two-page contribution lays down the latest figures for the Dutch gambling market and discusses the impact of the ongoing pandemic thereon. In addition to the pandemic’s impact, it is noted that the upcoming opening of the regulated remote gambling market will bring changes in the foreseeable future to gambling in the Netherlands. Furthermore, it will be interesting to see how the recently published Market Vision of the Netherlands Gambling Authority will shape the gambling market in the long term.
