Contribution to ICLG Gambling 2023

Posted on 14 December 2022 by Joris Crone

On 7 December 2022, Global Legal Group published the International Comparative Legal Guide (ICLG) on Gambling 2023. The ninth edition covers common topics and issues in gambling laws and regulations across many jurisdictions, including relevant authorities and legislation, application for a licence and enforcement.

Kalff Katz & Franssen proudly contributes to ICLG every year, and has done so again for the 2023 edition. The chapter on the Netherlands, written by Dr Alan Littler and Joris Crone, covers both the remote and land-based gambling landscape. The contribution also discusses highly relevant developments such as the regulated remote gambling market a year after going live, a shift in the enforcement approach of the Netherlands Gambling Authority (Kansspelautoriteit) and anticipated reforms on advertising.

The chapter on the Netherlands in the ninth edition of ICLG can be found here: https://iclg.com/practice-areas/gambling-laws-and-regulations/netherlands.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to receive further information on the above or in case you have any questions about gaming and gambling in the Netherlands. Get in touch with Dr Alan Littler or Joris Crone.
